AGREEMENT,
Volunteers for Temporary Loan from the Active List of the Royal Navy to the Sea-going Forces of the Royal Australian Navy.
CONDITIONS.

1. TREM OF ENGAGEMENT. will be entered into which continues service in the Royal
years. No engagement Australian Navy beyond the age of 50 years.
2. LEAVE. 42 days per annum local leave subject to the exigencies of the Service, and, in addition, Foreign Service Leave, not exceeding 42 days, on return to the United Kingdom. Foreign Service Leave will be calculated at the rate of seven days for each completed six months and one day for each additional completed month of service in the Royal" Australian Navy,
3. THE. All time served on loan will count for all purposes as time served in the Royal Navy, except that, if first R.N. Continuous Service engagement expires during such loan, time subsequent to such expiry shall only count in the event of re-engagement in the Royal Navy to complete time for pension.
4. DISCIPLINE. All ratings lent will be subject to the acts and regulations governing the Commonwealth Navel Forces. (With the substitution of "The Commonwealth_javal Board" for "The Admiralty", these Regulations generally conform with the Naval Discipline Act and King's Regulations and Admiralty Instructions).
5. PPY AND ALLOWANCES will be as laid down in the Naval Financial Regulations for the Royal Australian Naval Sau-going Forces during the period of loan. (Ratings lent to the Royal Australian Navy will draw no pay and allowances from the Admiralty during such servies).
The liability in respect of Admiralty Pension, National Health Insurance, and Unemployment Insurance of Royal Navy ratings who engage for Toan service in the Royal Australian Navy will be met from Commonwealth funds. Deferred pay prescribed for members of the Royal Australian Navy will not, therefore, be payable to Royal Navy ratings serving in the Royal Australian Navy.
6.
ADVANCEMENT.
1. The conditions of advancement of ratings while on loan will be generally similar to those in the Royal Navy.
2. Ratings specified in Article 379 of the King's Regulations and Admiralty Instructions will be advanced as provided for in that Article and no reversion will take place on return to the Royal Navy.
